KHO 2021 THEME: The Urgency of Creating the Beloved Community
TASK TO BE COMPLETED:
We would like to challenge you to create an image that embraces our past
but will take us into the future to speak to our multi-generational, complex world.
VISION: To create a vintage design that attracts an older crowd but also the younger more complex generation. Vintage designs are becoming a more popular trend in today's art and also fashion. I wanted to included Dr. King, pieces of the past, while also including the now and important movements that still relate back to Dr. King's vision and practices of nonviolence.
In addition to creating the design itself, I wanted to make sure the design would also be versatile and transferrable whether it be used for digital, print or merchandise purposes. View samples below.
